Sergeant Keriann Bennett
Shift Supervisor
US Army
Since Keriann Bennett comes from a military and law enforcement family, she has always felt compelled to serve her country. From a very young age, she began volunteering with the Marine Corp-based organization called SAR CORP-- a search and rescue program for adolescents. In high school, she was in the Army ROTC program for more than three years. As soon as she graduated, she decided to join the Army on active status at the age of 19 serving more than eight years.
As an Automated Logistic Specialist in the US Army, Keriann was stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington State and Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. She received three Army Commendation Medals for heroism, meritorious achievement and when she was honorably discharged.
“The rank that I am most honored to have received during my time in the Army is Sergeant because this is what I aspired to achieve upon joining the military,” said Keriann. “Upon receiving this rank, I felt very proud and accomplished as an individual.”
Keriann definitely believes that her military experience has influenced her career at Allied Universal. She has worked for the company for more than three years and is truly thankful to be given the opportunity to become a leader within the organization. She first started out as a Transit Security Officer and was promoted to Shift Supervisor and Sergeant.
“In the future, I hope to gain insights into different managerial platforms within the company with the goal of landing a management position where I can become an integral part of the team,” said Keriann. “Allied Universal is a great place for veterans to work, especially for those who are just getting out as the company provides a smooth transition into the civilian world. There are many who work for Allied Universal who have a military background who can provide relatable experiences and camaraderie, and I found this exceptionally helpful in my own transition into the civilian workplace.”
