Looking back on his military career, Veteran Lamont Moore is thankful to his friend for giving him information about joining the Navy. The number one reason why he stayed in the military for more than 20 years is because it was an honor for him to be able to protect his country so Americans can live peacefully. Stationed in The Great Lakes and Sasabo, Japan, Lamont was a Naval Quartermaster who navigated naval ships by the sun, stars and moon.
Over the course of his military career, Lamont received a variety of medals, citations and badges such as the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation, Army Achievement, Presidential Unit Citation, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Special Forces Combat Diver and the Combat Infantryman's Badge 2nd Award (to name a few).
His Allied Universal career started as a security officer in 2005. Within a year, his tremendous work ethic earned him a promotion to account manager. He believes working at Allied Universal is the perfect segue following a military career and an extension of the dedicated to serve mentality because “you’re constantly feeling proud of your work and being able to help others.”
During his spare time, he works with various veteran nonprofits organizations to give back. He continually seeks to recruit other veterans to join Allied Universal because he says this job “gives you a sense of purpose.” Explaining, he said, “for us veterans, we learn to be extremely ethical in our job performance and Allied Universal gives us the motivation to be better. Allied Universal feels like home because we have the opportunity to work with other veterans.”
He further shared that the leadership team at Allied Universal offers so many amazing opportunities for growth and offers an open communication coupled with mentorship and is one of the main reasons why he has worked at Allied Universal for more than 14 years.
